Gabrielle Tidey-Passlow ~ Director
Gabrielle is the director of GTP Training and Consultancy Pty Ltd.
Gabrielle has a strong commitment to experiential learning and adult learning principles; a long history of working within government and the community sector; designing and facilitating training and development; and supporting learning processes through consultation across organisations.
Gabrielle has a sophisticated understanding of the community sector and a demonstrated ability to be able to work at local, regional, state and national levels. She has held a variety of positions within different organisations with a combined experience of twenty three years in the sector.
She has excellent consulting, facilitation and training skills, with a strong commitment to service evaluation, development, learning and interpreting best practice outcomes for client groups. Consultancy work over the past years has included contact with a variety of organisations in relation to strategic planning, systems management, and human resource practices.
Gabrielle has a particular appreciation for specific contexts and factors impacting on community work in rural/remote areas including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and is a member of the Specialist Skills Council Consulting Team.
Gabrielle has a B.A. (Psych), Graduate Diploma Vocational Education and Training, Graduate Certificate Community Organisational Management, is an Associate Member of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (AIAMA), Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment and Certificate IV Community Mediation.
Christine Foley ~ Trainer/Consultant
Christine is a Registered Psychologist [Qld, Registration number 1072309], with over 20 years experience in a broad range of private, community and government positions in Queensland and Victoria.
Christine has worked in management and direct service capacities, including industrial training and process implementation, court ordered parenting programs, program development with adolescents at risk of homelessness, restorative justice work with victims and offenders.
Christine has a Masters in Forensic Mental Health, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Diploma in Community and Human Services, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate II in Mediation Skills.
Christine has extensive experience in conducting service evaluations as a result of her work with the Qld Police Service's Mental Health Intervention Project as is an experienced and respected trainer and tutor, having taught psychology at Griffith University for four years.
Christine combines her time with her GTP commitments and her part time role as a Principal Human Resources Consultant with the Qld Department of Communities.
Tessa Hilton ~ Trainer/Consultant
Tessa has worked for over 10 years in the Human Service industry with a focus on working with at risk young people across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Tessa's qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Science, a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has worked primarily in the youth field working in a community capacity in the areas of homelessness, family mediation, and disengagement from school.
Further to this she has extensive managerial experience in the running of localised youth services including supervision, program development, financial management and submission writing. She also provides Professional Supervision services to people in the Human Services industry.
Tessa has a keen interest in the use of the creative arts with clients and its further application in the human service field. She conducts Art Therapy workshops at GTP that provides experiential training in the use of art with clients.
Tessa combines her GTP commitments with her family and two sons.
Leanne Jessop ~ Trainer/Consultant
Leanne has over 12 years experience in the Early Childhood industry and has worked in numerous children's services in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney and the U.K. Leanne holds a Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Leanne's enthusiasm for training and education was displayed in her role as a teacher of Children's Services at a TAFE over the past two years.
These experiences continue to hone Leanne's organisational skills and highlight her efficiency, spontaneity and her ability to pay attention to detail. Working with young children and their families, as well as with various private and government organisations, has enabled Leanne to develop an extensive range of creative communication and interpersonal skills.
Leanne has a demonstrated ability of instructional effectiveness of contemporary industry practice and content knowledge. Leanne has a true passion for life long learning and maintains a strong interest in the education and training sector in addition to a variety of human services. Leanne's active participation in professional development opportunities enable her to further her skills and sustain current knowledge in these areas.
Leanne's strong interest in fostering relationships with members of the community led to her rewarding volunteer work with both RSL Care and the Community Visitors Scheme.This work with the elderly has created a heightened awareness of the needs in this part of our community. Leanne feels blessed to have two magnificent children and blends her family time with her role as teacher of Child Studies at TAFE and her training and consulting commitments with GTP.
Kate Phillips ~ Technical Writer / Consultant
Kate has an established record of organisational excellence throughout her extensive customer service history. Currently living in Portland Oregon USA, Kate was originally a Project Officer for GTP, but now performs resource development with the technical writing team.
Kate has a Master of Education in School Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a respected and diligent worker and brings a breadth of confidence and knowledge with her professional abilities.
A local Queensland girl, Kate completed her undergraduate degree at Griffith University on the Gold Coast before heading to America to acquire her graduate qualifications in adolescent development and education.
A former volunteer of Reconnect on the Gold Coast, she parlayed this position into formal employment as Client Intake Officer and Office Manager. She also assisted the Project Officer in delivery of school-based life skill development programs.
She is the very proud mother of two wonderful boys and combines her family time with her GTP commitments.
Christine Thomas ~ Trainer/Consultant
Christine is an Aboriginal woman who has an extensive and varied history in a range of private, community and government positions throughout QLD.
Christine has worked in management and direct service capacities, specialising in work with young people at risk of homelessness, within restorative justice processes; including work with families at risk. Christine has held management committee positions with the Noonga Reconciliation Group, Network Against Racism and the Sandgate Indigenous Community network. Christine has undertaken significant work with indigenous issues on a State, National and International level.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Social Work and is an Accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has completed a Diplomacy Training Program.
Christine is an experienced and respected community worker and as a result of her extensive experience, she has an comprehensive knowledge of contemporary human service delivery issues both within government and in the non government sector.
Christine combines her time with her young family, her training commitments and her role with the Qld Department of Communities, Youth Justice Conferencing service, as the Service Leader for the Morayfield Office within the Sunshine Coast Region.
Emma Silvester ~ Project Manager
Emma has over 12 years experience in project and client leadership in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector. Leading workplace learning and development projects for clients in Finance, Government, Community Services and Health with a particular focus on undertaking comprehensive reviews of organisational learning needs and utilising competency based training approaches to affect successful outcomes for clients.
Emma has overseen the management of a number of national projects that support the implementation of the Community Services and Health Training packages. This includes the development of processes, training and assessment resources
Emma is as skilled facilitator who has experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and has developed exceptional relationship building skills. This includes negotiations and influencing skills that encourage collaboration, consensus and assist in building positive outcomes for the CS&H sectors.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Social Science, a Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training and a Master of Education as well as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Government. Emma is currently undertaking a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing.
As the manager of the new Melbourne office, Emma will be overseeing projects in the southern states and will travel regularly the head office on the Sunshine Coast.
Safiya Lee ~ Project Officer
Safiya has over nine years administrative experience in a wide range of environments and industries. She has in print advertising and generated presentations for clients and councils within the property development industry; established and maintained electronic archiving for clients in the financial services sector; organised travel and personal security detail to remote locations for a large mining company.She currently holds a Certificate II in Office Administration, Certificate II in Fine Arts, Certificate III in Photography and a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. As Project Officer for GTP Safiya also plans on undertaking the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Safiya has a keen interest in travel having spent her early years living in the UK, Spain, USA and New Zealand before settling in Australia . She spent some time working in the UK and plans to pursue more travel in the next few years.
Zoe Jones ~ Office Administrator
Zoe is a recent year 12 graduate who has commenced her Certificate III in Business Traineeship with GTP. She holds a Certificate II in Community Recreation and a Certificate II in Public Safety - Aquatic Rescues, from Surf Lifesaving Queensland.She has strong leadership skills, captaining the Under 18's Queensland Lawn Bowls Team and won two gold medals, one silver and three bronze at the Australian Nationals. Zoe loves living on the coast where she does four-wheel driving and other outdoor pursuits in her spare time.
Zoe is an enthusiastic team member who provides valuable administrative support to the GTP consultants.
