Training Options
This training will provide community workers with the opportunity to expand on existing knowledge and skills as well as explore a variety of strategies in community development. Working with the community to take collective action requires broad interpersonal skills, appropriate engagement strategies, knowledge of community issues and effective event planning approaches. Together these skills provide you with the necessary approaches upon which to build an effective community development model for supporting the management of events and festivals.

Submission and Tender Preparation
This training will assist those staff responsible for writing tenders, submissions and Expressions of Interest [EOI] to obtain funding from Government and non Government sources. Specifically the training will consider where to access information on funding opportunities along with up to date approaches for presenting your proposal for project/service funding. The workshop will also offer strategies for outlining a strategic plan and budget proposals for the tender/submission and/or EOI. Learning process will include the use of templates, sample EOI and submission documents etc.
Specific Learning Outcomes
- Apply fundamentals of submission writing structure
- Complete a budget proposal for submissions
- Outline the core objectives/ strategies and outcomes for a project proposal within a submission/EOI framework
- Unpack the terminology and requirements of tender/EOI process
- Propose an evaluation methodology for a project
